Trails to Hope Turkey Trot - Belmont, MI
Trails to Hope Turkey Trot is a trail running event organized by Trails to Hope, a 501c3 organization that raises money for local charities. The event is held at Cannonsburg Ski Area, 6800 Cannonsburg Rd., Belmont, MI. The course uses trail loops; the 10K consists of two laps of the 5K loop. The event also includes time-based events where participants aim to complete as many loops as possible within a three hour limit.
- 10K - two loops of the 5K trail course
- 5K - single loop on trails
- 3 Hour Solo - solo runners complete as many loops as possible
- 3 Hour Teams of 2 - relay style; teams of two complete laps
Logistics and awards
Packet pickup is inside the main lodge at Cannonsburg Ski Area on the event date. Entry fees include a long sleeve shirt, a post-race snack, and a handmade wooden finisher medal. All finishers receive a unique medal. Awards are given to overall top Female and Male and to top Female and Male Masters in the 5K and 10K, plus top age group finishers in the following groups: 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. There is one aid station on course providing water and some packaged snacks. Registration closes the day before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
