Event overview
The Triple Dam 10K is a road and trail event held Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the Power Dam Recreation Area in Perkinsville, VT. The race distance is 10K and is open to runners and walkers. Proceeds benefit the Springfield High School Cross Country program. The race is part of the Western New Hampshire Trail Running Series and the Upper Valley Running Series.
Course and logistics
The course is a loop on gently rolling terrain that uses a mix of grassy trails and dirt roads. It begins at the old Perkinsville Power Dam on the Black River, runs downriver to North Springfield Reservoir, crosses the river at the base of North Springfield Dam, returns upstream toward Stoughton Pond Dam, crosses the Black River again, and finishes back at the Power Dam about 1/3 mile after the final river crossing. The river crossing is expected to be low - about calf-deep and slow - with a rope across the river and a lifeguard available to assist.
Entry fees vary by age and by registration date; youth 14 and under are free. Race day registration is available for higher fees. Packet pick-up is held at the Power Dam Recreation Area on race day. Water and post-run refreshments are provided. Parking is available near the start/finish. Music players with one earbud and well-behaved short-leashed dogs are allowed.
