Triple Nickle Remembrance Run

Registration

The Triple Nickle Remembrance Run is a 5.55-mile race held at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, honoring the legacy of the 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, the first all-Black airborne unit in U.S. military history. The event, open to both military and civilians, takes place along Fort Bragg’s Liberty Trail near the Fair Grounds and Central Issue Facility.

It commemorates the battalion’s unique role in Operation Firefly during World War II, where they served as elite Smokejumpers combating wildfires. Participants can join in person or virtually, with professional timing provided by Run The East. Visitor passes are required for access to Fort Bragg. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
