Event overview
The Turkey Trot MMYMCA is a community 5k run/walk (about 3.1 miles) held on Thanksgiving Day in Menominee, Michigan. The route starts and ends at the Marinette-Menominee YMCA at 1600 West Drive, Menominee, MI 49858. The event is free for YMCA members, the general public, and pets. Registration is required for all participants regardless of age. The first 200 registered participants will receive a fresh pie donated by a local market. Photos will be posted after the event and finishers receive a downloadable certificate of completion.
Registration and logistics
Organizers request donations of healthy snack items for local schools, such as granola bars, cereal bars, fruit snacks, applesauce or fruit cups, and juice boxes. One water stop is available near the 1.5 mile mark on the course. Light refreshments will be provided for participants. Handicap accessible bathrooms are available in the YMCA facility; showers and other facility areas are not available to participants. A route map and event materials are provided by the organizers.
