About the race
Turkey Trot of McDonough is South Atlanta’s largest Thanksgiving Day running event, held in McDonough, GA at the Academy Sports Parking Lot (198 S Point Blvd) near the South Point Shopping Center. The festive morning brings together families and fitness enthusiasts for a fun, community-driven race experience that blends style with sport. Runners can choose from 1 mile, 5K, or 10K distances, with a pre-race celebration featuring music and a warm-up.
Proceeds benefit the Special Olympics of Henry County, adding a charitable dimension to the festivities. An optional Naked Runner entry offers the same course sans medal, timing, results, or shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
