The Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Richfield, Minnesota on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The event includes the following race distances:
- Half marathon
- 5K Both in-person and virtual options are offered. The race is presented by Wood Lake Nature Center, and 100% of proceeds benefit environmental education. The event notes a partnership of more than 50 years between the Richfield School District and the Nature Center.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is available the day before the race (Friday, 8:00 am-6:00 pm) and on race day starting at 5:45 am until the races begin. Pickup is held at the Richfield Band Shell (next to the Arena at 636 E 66th St) and includes bibs, timing chips, and the runner finisher shirt for in-person participants. Virtual registrations include domestic US shipping for a shirt and finisher medal; virtual runners may also pick up items at packet pickup. Registrations after July 8, 2025 do not include a runner shirt; leftover shirts may be sold after the race for $15. Lockers are available inside the arena but are not supervised; runners may bring a padlock. In-person race results are published through MTEC Results.
