Wekiwa Springs Ultra : overview
The Wekiwa Springs Ultra takes place January 3-4, 2026 in Apopka, FL (1800 Wekiwa Circle). The event includes a 12-hour trail run, a 24-hour trail run, and a 24-hour relay. The race uses a looped trail of 3.2 miles through Wekiwa Springs with shaded sections and opportunities to see wildlife. Relay teams may include 2 to 5 runners; team members may run multiple loops and all exchanges must occur at the finish line. The minimum age to participate is 16.
Logistics and amenities
Lodging is optional; cabins and primitive campsites are available as paid upgrades and cabins are shared with other runners. One aid station will be located at the start/finish area offering hydration, first aid, snacks, and electrolytes, and that area is designated for support crew and team tents. Headlamps are required after 5:30 PM until sunrise. All participants receive a long-sleeved cotton shirt, a wooden finisher medal, a commemorative race metal sign, and a complimentary pasta dinner on the Friday before the event. Awards are given to the top three males and females in the 12- and 24-hour events and to the top three relay teams; awards are based on completed lap totals.
