Wild Turkey Trail Runs

The Wild Turkey Trail Runs, hosted by the West Virginia Mountain Trail Runners, take place at Valley Falls State Park near Fairmont, WV. This free event offers a variety of distances including 1 mile, 5k, 8 miles, 10 miles, half marathon, 25k, marathon, 50k, and 50 miles. The course features a challenging 8-10 mile figure-8 loop with about 1500 feet of elevation gain per loop and a single aid station centrally located near the parking area.

Participants can use their cars as personal aid stations. The race atmosphere is friendly and supportive, with food, drinks, and giveaways like car stickers and homemade medals for finishers.
