Event overview

GOTR AdventHealth Fall 2025 5K is scheduled for Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Tanger Asheville, 800 Brevard Road, Asheville, NC. The event is a celebratory end-of-season 5K for Girls on the Run program participants, running buddies, family and community members. The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles). Program participants and coaches are already registered through the council and do not need to complete separate registration. Registered participants receive an event t-shirt, and Girls on the Run program participants receive a commemorative race medal.

Logistics, accessibility and volunteers

Registration prices for non-program participants are listed as Early Bird $35, General $40, and Day-Of $45. Free parking is available onsite and designated accessible parking spots are provided. Early packet pick up for community runners is scheduled for Saturday, November 22 at the Tanger Asheville Food Court (time TBD); day-of packet pick up will be available in the registration tent. The event is described as accessible for people with disabilities and supports walking, rolling, pushing or running at participants' own pace. Each participant must wear a race bib and is paired with a running buddy for safety; parents or guardians may serve as running buddies. Volunteers will support set-up and tear down, registration, course marshalling, running buddies, water and cheer stations, bib decorating and other festival activities; volunteers appointed through the council will undergo a background check. The event will be cancelled for thunder, lightning, unsafe driving or other hazardous conditions, with the decision made on the morning of the event.
