Event overview
XTERRA Portland is an off-road triathlon event on August 1, 2026, held at Hagg Lake (Bobcat Cove) near Gaston, Oregon. The event is part of the XTERRA World Tour and includes multiple race categories for individuals, teams, youth, and kids. The venue uses Bobcat Cove for the race site and Boat Ramp C for parking; participants are asked to park in the grass lot at Boat Ramp C and not to park at Bobcat Cove.

- Full Distance Triathlon: 1K swim, 27.5K bike, 8K run
- Sprint Triathlon (Youth qualifier): 500M swim, 21K bike, 5K run
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 200M swim, 6K bike, 2K run
- Duathlon: 27.5K bike, 8K run
- Kids Splash Pedal Dash + Slide: kids race, helmets required; day-of registration available
The bike and run courses are primarily on trails around Hagg Lake. A mountain bike is required for the Full Triathlon and the Duathlon; gravel bikes are not permitted for those events. Wetsuits are allowed but not required; past water temperatures have been around or above 71°F. Camping is permitted at Hagg Lake for the Friday night before the race for a fee of $40 per vehicle plus $5 per person. Online registration closes July 29; in-person registration is available at the race site on the Friday before and the morning of the event. Relay teams are allowed. There is a course cutoff after which athletes may continue without course support and will not receive an official time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
