The Zoar Merry Miles takes place in Zoar, Ohio on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Zoar Community Center (190 5th St, Zoar, OH 44697). It is part of the Ohio Challenge Series.
- 3 mile fun run/walk
- Under 0.5 mile Kid's Fun Run (ages 10 and under; a family member may run or walk with a child)
Course and logistics
The course runs around and through the village and combines paved roads and trails. The route includes a few moderate hills, passes the Zoar Garden, crosses an iron bridge, goes by wetlands, and follows a trail back into the village. Because parts of the trail are narrow and have tree roots, strollers will not be permitted. Dogs on a fixed leash are permitted on the course.
At the finish line participants are offered cookies, soup, water, hot chocolate, granola bars and fruit. T-shirt sizes are offered from Youth XS to Large and Adult Small to 3X-Large; a no T-shirt option is available for a $5 discount and shirts are limited after November 15. Finishers receive a locally handcrafted medal. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and top three in designated age groups.
