Event overview
The ATA Jingle Bell Jog takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Chester, WV. The event is organized by Allen T. Allison Elementary School in partnership with Chester Hometown Christmas. It includes two event options: a run or run/walk and a walker category. Online registration is $20 with early bird pricing through November 11, 2025; the fee increases to $25 after that date. All proceeds benefit the ATA PTA. Participants who register by November 11 are guaranteed a race participation t-shirt; a long sleeve or crew neck sweatshirt upgrade is available for an extra fee.
Course, logistics and awards
The course uses paved city streets and is described as stroller friendly. It follows Chester’s 5k race route, starting near Family Kitchen and Smokehouse on Carolina Avenue, proceeding down Collin's Memorial Drive, looping through the upper end of Chester along 11th Street, Neptune Avenue, 8th Street and Plutus Avenue, then returning to Carolina Avenue and moving through town via 3rd Street and California back to Carolina Avenue for the finish near the start. Race packets include cookies and hot chocolate at the finish. Early packet pick up will be available near Allison Elementary the week of the race; day-of packets are available near the starting line. Medals are awarded 1st-3rd, male and female, in each running category, plus 1st-3rd walkers overall; a prize is planned for the most festive participant. Age groups range from 5-8 up to 60+.
