Black Forest Ultra
The Black Forest Ultra is a challenging 100K trail race held in North Bend, Pennsylvania, deep within the scenic Pennsylvania Wilds. Known as one of the toughest ultras in the Northeast, the course features a lollipop loop with over 13,400 feet of elevation gain, including steep climbs of more than 1,000 feet in under a mile. The race alternates direction annually, shifting the major elevation gains between the front and back halves.
Starting at midnight, runners have 19 hours to complete the course without pacers, crews, or spectators. The route showcases diverse forests and stunning fall foliage, offering a brutal yet beautiful mountain running experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
