Event overview

Blazing Saddles is a trail race at Codorus State Park, Pavilion #3, Hanover, PA. The event offers three distances and is organized by the York Road Runners Club and the York Ridge Runners. Registration closes on Fri, Mar 6. Proceeds support a local animal rescue. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women. Early registrants by Feb 18 receive event swag.

Course, support and rules

  • 8 Miler: one full loop of the trail

The course follows the Ranger Trail, composed of singletrack, horse trails, and under one mile of road. Runners should expect runnable hills, mud, and possible snow. There is an aid station at Mile 8 offering water, electrolyte drinks, and food. The event enforces a finish cutoff and an aid station cutoff for the last loop. Race rules include visible bibs, no bib transfers, no littering, staying on the trail, returning a bib if withdrawing, and no pacers, crews, deferrals, or refunds.
