Event information
The Central Texas Turkey Trot - 20th Annual takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Brazos Park East in Waco, Texas. The event offers the following race distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Registration fees listed are $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K. Fees increase after October 29, 2025. Packet pickup is available the day before the race at Central United Methodist Church on Bagby (Hwy 6) and also on race day.
Community and race details
The event is organized by Altrusa International of the Brazos. Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age category. The race includes a canned food drive to collect goods for The Shepherd's Heart food pantry. Proceeds and donations support local community programs and partners such as The Cove, Shepherd's Heart, Isaiah House, Veteran's One Stop, Nursing Home Bingo, Gospel Cafe, and efforts to provide eyeglasses for children.
