About the race
Day For Life 5K and Fun Run in Morganton, NC, kicks off Burke County’s Day For Life celebration—a day of community, family, music, food, and fun for all ages. The event features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, starting and finishing at Burkemont Baptist Church (4668 Burkemont Road). The course winds through countryside at Burkemont Mountain's base and includes a pass through Double E Farms—a working farm with cattle, lambs, cornfields and a pumpkin patch, with Briarpatch Mercantile offering local goods.
Awards are given for each age group, and after the races attendees enjoy food trucks, live music, games, prizes, and raffles; proceeds support the Pregnancy Care Center of Burke County. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
