About the race
Folsom Lake Sweetwater Trail Run takes place at Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, Salmon Falls Parking Lot in El Dorado Hills, California. The event offers eight distances: Kids Run, 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 9 Mile, Half Marathon, 30K, Trail Marathon, and 50K. The course is 95% single-track with 5% dirt road, following the Sweetwater Trail along Folsom Lake, featuring gently rolling hills, oak woodlands, and Sierra foothill scenery.
It is an out-and-back format with multiple aid stations, a creek crossing, and clear ribbon/gypsum markings. Extras include drop bags, on-site EMTs, and a finisher medal for all participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
