This is a trail running event on single-track trails in Sproul State Forest, located in the PA Wilds.
Course, rules and services
The 14-mile course uses rugged single-track and includes three staffed aid stations at approximately mile 4, mile 8, and mile 11.5. The 7K follows the first 2.5 miles of the main course, climbs Long Fork, goes to the deer fence, and returns down Log Hollow for a roughly 2-mile downhill finish. The 7K route includes about 1000 feet of ascent and about 1000 feet of descent over its distance. Post-race food and beverages are provided. The state park has a swimming pool available for runners during the day.
The event is open only to runners and speed-hikers; it is not designed for walkers. Participants must have entered a qualifying event with a recorded time to be an official participant. The organizer enforces strict event rules: no refunds, no deferrals, no bib transfers, and no bandits. A strict time cutoff is enforced for the full course.
