Life Time Silver Rush 50 Run : July 11, 2026
The Silver Rush 50 Run is a trail and dirt-road event in Leadville, Colorado. The main distance is approximately 50 miles with about 7,500 feet of elevation gain and a highest point near 12,024 feet. The event is held in the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville and begins near the Cloud City Ski Hut below Colorado Mountain College. Roads used by the course remain open to vehicle traffic.

Minimum ages are listed for each distance. All finishers receive a medal. The 50-mile race is a qualifier for the Leadville Trail 100 Run; a minimum of 35 qualifier coins are available and are awarded to finishers of the longest distance through a mix of performance-based distribution and a post-race lottery. Award categories include overall, age groups, para, non-binary, and junior divisions.
Course, support and logistics
The ~50-mile out-and-back is marked with pink flags; the 15-mile uses blue flags and the juniors 5K uses red flags. There are seven aid stations with water, gels, hydration mixes, bars, chews and assorted foods. Drop bags for the 50 run are taken only to the Stumptown aid station. Crew access is allowed only at the start/finish, Printer Boy aid station, and Stumptown aid station. Athletes and crews are required to use designated parking areas and shuttles to reach the start area. Total course cutoff is 14 hours (chip time) at about 48.4 miles.
