National Rescue Dog Day 10k

The 2025 National Rescue Dog Day 5k & 10k is a scenic, flat evening race held at Bluemont Park in Arlington, VA, to support the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation. Participants can choose between a 5k or 10k course along the W&OD trail, with walkers and strollers welcome. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, technical event shirt, and chip timing.

The event benefits homeless pets through rescue, foster, and adoption efforts. Virtual race options are available for those unable to attend in person.
