Oktoberfest Half Marathon

The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5K is an annual running event held in Asheville, North Carolina, celebrating autumn, craft beer, and running. The half marathon course features a scenic route through Asheville’s River Arts District, historic Montford neighborhood, and West Asheville, including over eight miles along the French Broad River greenway. Both the half marathon and 5K are USATF certified.

Participants receive a finisher medal, technical shirt, race bib, and a post-race local craft beer at the Hi-Wire Brewing Beer Garden. Festive costumes, especially lederhosen, are encouraged with special awards for best costumes. The event offers both in-person and virtual race options, making it accessible for all runners.
