Event overview
The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on September 27, 2025. Both races start and finish at Hi-Wire Brewing’s River Arts District Beer Garden, 284 Lyman St, Asheville. Distances offered:

- 5k
The event is presented with support from local sponsors including Hi-Wire Brewing, Capua Law, and Benton Roofing. Both courses will be USATF certified, with new certification maps to be available by summer 2025 after reconstruction of greenways and roads affected by Hurricane Helene.
Race details
Race entry includes a short-sleeved technical t-shirt, custom race bib, finisher medal, professional chip timing, and a post-race beverage (Hi-Wire beer - 21+ - or a non-alcohol option). There is a virtual option that provides race shirt, bib, and finisher medal by mail; virtual participants are not eligible for awards and do not need to submit results. Packet pick up is scheduled for the day before the race and on race morning. The half marathon course aid has a three hour limit and the 5k course aid has a one hour limit. The 5k program includes costume awards and middle-of-the-pack awards. Registration closes September 26, 2025, or once the event sells out.
