Event overview
Outlands Endurance Race is held on April 18, 2026, at Peninsula Campground in Pilot Hill, California. The courses run along the lakeside edges of Folsom Lake and use a mix of single-track and double-wide trails. The event is organized by Bad Luck Run Club and offers on-course aid stations, finish awards, and a post-race meal.
Courses and race services
- 25K - 15.5 miles; out and back; 1,452 ft elevation gain; 2 aid stations; cut-off at mile 12.8 (Rodgers Gang).
- 50K - 31.1 miles; out and back beyond Acorn Creek Parking Lot; 3,410 ft elevation gain; 4 aid stations; drop bags allowed at Acorn Creek; cut-off checkpoints at mile 17.3 and mile 25.6 and the finish line.
- 50M - 50 miles; out and back to Magnolia Ranch; 6,100 ft elevation gain; 7 aid stations; drop bags allowed at Acorn Creek and Magnolia Ranch; multiple cut-off checkpoints along the route.
Aid stations on the 50K and 50M provide water, hydration mix, light snacks, and warm foods; other listings note gels, chips, candy, potatoes, bananas, and Skratch Hydration. All finishers receive an Outlands runner hat, a custom wood award, and a post-race meal; top finishers receive a custom wood plaque or standing award. The 50K and 50M both qualify toward the Sierra Ultra Trifecta. The event also runs a donation-matching initiative that supports local nonprofit partners.
