Run the Vineyards - Running Hare 5K takes place on May 2, 2026 in Prince Frederick, MD at Running Hare Vineyards (150 Adelina Road). The event is a 5K run/walk with chip timing. The listed entry price is $47.64 (includes a $3.64 fee); the price increases after October 31, 2025. Registration is required; all ages and walkers are welcome and spectators may attend.
Race features and policies
Race features include a custom race shirt (women's, adult/men's and youth tees, or women's racerback tanks for a $5 upcharge; registering by April 19 guarantees first shirt choice), a glass of Running Hare wine and a stemless wine glass for finishers, and souvenir finisher medals available for $8 during registration or $10 on race day. There will be a live musician immediately after the race, a food truck at the after-party, awards for Top 3 overall and age-group male and female winners (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 years thereafter), and free downloadable race photos from a professional photographer.
Packet pick-up is offered on race day at the "Good Day for a Run" tent; participants should note a portion of the course uses the driveway and access will be restricted before the race. The event is held rain or shine. There are no transfers or refunds, and strollers and dogs are not allowed on the course.
