Santa Claus Half Marathon

The Santa Claus Half Marathon, organized by Running Club North and the UAF Cross Country Running Team, takes place at Chena Lake Recreation Area. The event offers a scenic half marathon course starting and finishing near the swim beach, featuring trails, bike paths, dikes, and flood control areas around Chena Lake. Runners can choose between two start times based on their expected finish, with the course closing five hours after the earliest start.
