Sawmill Trail Runs

The Sawmill Trail Runs is an annual trail running event held at Staunton State Park in Pine, Colorado, approximately 40 miles southwest of Denver. Established in 2013 and officially a race since 2017, it offers three distance options: 50k, 16-mile, and 8-mile runs. The course features scenic and challenging terrain ranging from high grassy meadows at 8,100 feet to granite cliffs over 10,000 feet, showcasing diverse geology and wildlife.

The event has a combined runner capacity of 250 and includes well-stocked aid stations, finisher medals, and gender-specific race shirts. Winter weather can be unpredictable, with possible snow and cold, and traction devices are permitted. Spectators are limited to the start/finish area, and no pacers or crews are allowed.
