Event details
The Seahorse Skedaddle takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Rose Rudman Park, 450 Shiloh Rd., Tyler, TX 75703. The event includes several race options:
- Kid's Dash - 100–200 m, free
- 5K - $35, includes participation shirt and finisher medal
- 1 Mile - $18, untimed, includes participation shirt and finisher medal
- Virtual Option - $40, shirt and medal shipped
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and an event-themed finisher medal. Participants are advised to register by 12/27 to guarantee t-shirt size. The 1 Mile is offered as an untimed event with no age group awards.
Awards, charity and volunteers
Age group awards for the 5K are given four deep for male and female divisions, from 0-4 up to 80+. Overall awards include overall male, overall female, male masters (40+), female masters (40+), male grand masters (60+), and female grand masters (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped; participants should check results before leaving.
The Kid's Dash is free though t-shirts and finisher medals are available as add-ons. Volunteers can earn a free race code by working a short race-day shift. The event supports Encounter Church (Fate); 10% of all profits and 100% of donations for this event go to that church. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
