Event overview
Step Up to 5K is an inclusive 5K run/walk/roll hosted by Bremer Prosthetics at Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, MI (601 Weiss St). The event raises funds for So Every Body Can Move, a national initiative advocating for improved insurance coverage for prosthetic and orthotic care. The organizers describe the event as open to people with and without prosthetics and as focused on promoting access to mobility.
The course is a loop of about one mile, allowing participants to complete one, two, or three laps to reach the 5K distance. All finishers receive a finisher medal and a 5K race t-shirt with registration, and refreshments are provided. Timing is by chip and results for overall and age-group places are posted live by the Michigan Running Foundation.
