Sunapee Scramble
The Sunapee Scramble is a challenging mountain running event held in Sunapee, New Hampshire, serving as the 2025 USATF National Classic Mountain Championship and the selection race for the US Classic Up/Down Mountain Running Team. The race covers approximately 9.3 to 9.4 miles with about 3,250 to 3,300 feet of elevation gain over two laps. The first lap ascends 2.3 miles via a service road and trails to Mount Sunapee's summit, followed by a fast 1.75-mile descent.
The second lap includes a 3.5-mile climb incorporating the technical Newbury Trail before another speedy descent to the base lodge. The event features a competitive atmosphere with prize money and serves as the 2025 Collegiate Mountain Running National Championships venue.
