Event overview
The Ville to Ville Craft Brew Relay is a one-day, 72-mile team running event from Asheville, NC to Greenville, SC on April 11, 2026. The 9th annual relay uses a 12-leg course with legs ranging from 3-9 miles and travels through the Appalachian foothills and several local craft breweries. Each team provides its own vehicle to drop off and pick up runners at designated transition areas. Teams finish at Hampton Station in Greenville, SC, where there is a post-race celebration with music, food, and craft brews. The event is sold out; interested participants may join the waitlist or register for the Ville to Ville Sprint Relay held September 27, 2025.
Registration, teams and race rules
Teams consist of 3-6 runners and must be age 21 or older. Team categories include Open Co-ed, Open, Open Female, Masters, Masters Female, and Masters Co-ed, with specific female and age requirements for each category. A deposit of $300 is required at registration; teams may pay the full fee of $775. Teams that pay only the deposit must pay the remaining $475 by January 15, 2026; teams with unpaid fees on January 16, 2026 will lose their spot and deposit. Team rosters, team names, and final pace estimates must be finalized by March 5, 2026. Teams must plan for an average team pace of 11:00 minutes per mile or faster to complete the event and reach the post-race celebration in one day. The event is rain-or-shine; the director may change the course or event in case of inclement weather or state restrictions.
