Badass Texas Half-Marathon

Event details

The 2026 Badass Texas Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K takes place in Waco, Texas on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The race courses run along the Brazos River and through Cameron Park and East Brazos Park, with the start and finish located at Heritage Square in downtown Waco. The event includes on-course hydration and gels, restrooms and bag check on the half-marathon course. A post-race festival with music, a beer garden for those over 21, and an after-party are held at the finish area. A Badass Pool Party will be held at the Even Hotel on race day from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.

All in-person race routes are USATF certified. Run Project pace groups will be available on race day. A free Shakeout Run is scheduled on Saturday, May 23 at the Even Hotel following packet pickup.

Registration and logistics

Registration tiers and pricing vary by date and distance. Discounts include $5 off for youth 8 and under, $5 off for seniors 65 and over, and group discounts for transactions of four or more. VIP parking is available for purchase; free parking is also listed.
