Event overview
Badass Texas is a race weekend in Waco, Texas on May 23-24, 2026, centered at Heritage Square (311 Austin Ave). The event includes in-person races and a virtual option. Courses run along the Brazos River and through Cameron Park and East Brazos Park. The in-person finish and festival area are at Heritage Square; a post-race pool party is held at the Even Hotel.

The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon routes are USATF certified. The half marathon course provides hydration, gels, and restrooms on course. Event amenities include a tech muscle shirt, finisher medal, custom bib, bag check, free parking, and VIP parking for purchase. A free beer garden is available for those 21 and over. Pace groups are provided for the half at a range of finish-times from 1:45 to 3:45. Awards are given 1st-3rd overall male and female, 1st overall masters male and female, and top 3 in multiple age groups; awards must be claimed in person. Packet pickup is scheduled at multiple locations in Fort Worth, Dallas/Southlake, Plano, and Waco in the days before the race. A free shakeout run and an expo take place the day before race day.
