Event overview
Badass Texas is a road running event in Waco, Texas, held on May 24, 2026. The event offers three distance options:
- 13.1 miles - Half Marathon
- 6.2 miles - 10K
- 3.1 miles - 5K
All courses start and finish at Heritage Square in downtown Waco. Routes run along the Brazos River and pass through Cameron Park and East Brazos Park. USATF certified course maps are available for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon. A virtual race option is offered; virtual packets are scheduled to ship starting the week of May 25, 2026.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is scheduled at multiple locations in the days before the race, including Fort Worth Running Company, Dallas Running Company (Southlake and Plano), and Waco Running Company; race-day pickup is at the Heritage Square area. Race swag listed includes a tech muscle shirt, a finisher medal, and a custom bib. Hydration, gels, and restrooms are provided on the half marathon course. VIP parking, free parking, bag check, and a beer garden (age-restricted) are noted.
The event includes additional weekend activities: a free Shakeout Run on the Saturday before the race and a pool party at the Even Hotel after the event. Awards are given to top finishers overall, masters overall, and top three in multiple age groups; awards must be claimed in person and will not be mailed.
