About the race
The Light Up the Nite 5K Fun Run/Walk is held annually at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, GA, along the festively illuminated shores of Lake Chatuge. This event features a 5K course with rolling hills on both paved and off-road terrain, offering a scenic and challenging holiday-themed run or walk. Participants who register by October 31 receive a festive race t-shirt and finisher medal.
Awards are given for top finishers in various age groups, including children and grand masters, as well as for the most creative holiday attire. Proceeds benefit Remnant Youth, supporting positive impacts on young people. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
